When cultural heritage meets technical skill
Our story began fifteen years ago in an unlikely place: a car workshop. Our founder, Clifford Tan, a project consultant by trade, saw a parallel between the precision of car detailing (interior) & how the techniques were not just transferable but customizable to the delicate art of luxury leather restoration. He traded corporate strategy for the workbench and this is how Leather Biz was formed.
Our transition to a multi-generational, family-run business grew organically. As the studio grew, Mei (Clifford’s wife) and later, Pin (Clifford’s daughter) left behind corporate careers to immerse themselves in the world of leather restoration.

Today, our studio is a partnership built on decades of intuition & modern restoration. We’re a family-run business which means that we’re here each time you visit our studio. We like to take the time to get to know you, your piece, and the story behind it.

The Plaza Damas Studio
Our dual-floor studio is based in Plaza Damas, Kuala Lumpur. We combine traditional leather-working techniques with modern standards:
